It's Carnegie & Greenaway time again. I'm really looking forward to the announcement of the short lists this week and to my first workshops exploring the titles starting next week.

Following a fabuous SLG Conference, I've had a great Easter break and have been doing lots of reading. I'm looking forward to getting back to work again.

Congratulations to Saffron P (Y8, St Peter's) & Emily H (Y10, Edgecliff) who are the winners of my latest competition which closed on Friday 13th Feb.

Saffron won the poetry competition with her poem entitled 'Winter' & Emily won the story competition with her piece called 'Black and Blue'. They each win £40 gift tokens + a workshop for their school. I'll be publishing their winning entries here soon.

In all, there were 283 pieces entered. Of the 24 schools who registered for the competition, 20 submitted work. There were 156 poems & 127 stories. I really enjoyed reading all the work over Half-Term & will be writing about some of the entries soon. I'll also be running another competition & will let all librarians & teachers on my mailing list know about it just as soon as it's launched.

If you're ready to discuss requirements or to make a booking, just Email me and I will telephone or email you back as soon as I can.
